More To The Story is an aural representation of the things that I have done to become a musician and an artist up to this point. The road was very long and very hard at times but it is all worth it without a shadow of a doubt.
The songs on this LP as very simple but very potent because I have found that to be the best formula for mass digestion. Just like any other language, I think music is at its very best when the creator spends the time to think about the different points of consumption in great detail and when the creator uses that information to shape and mold the very process itself.

Forward EP is really about forward movement toward the goal. During quarantine, I think everything in my view was put into a clearer focus which really allowed me to articulate what I wanted and what I was willing to do for it. I wrote these songs either during this period or a period with a similar sentiment from my past.

BassTapes is a collection of beats that I started making when my daughter came home from the hospital. I needed to stay much quieter around the house after making DrumTapes so I went for instruments that were in the box as well as live instruments that could recorded directly into the computer. This music is the soundtrack to a generalized night of watching over her while she sleeps.

Maybe is a collection of pieces that were created to allow me to showcase a nice spread of skills over some original compositions and sounds that I thought would allow me to bring the colors and textures out of the horns in a very potent way. I wanted to achieve this vibe to illustrate the duality of my thoughts and feelings when it comes to the saxophone. On one hand, I often feel like I am really able to connect to the lineage and language of the saxophone in a very unique way while on the other hand, I sometimes feel like no matter how high the quality of musician and artist that I am found to be surrounded by or how well I can navigate the complexity of the colors and textures of the these compositions with the saxophone, I will never be equal to anything more that a caricature in the minds of some. As long I can continue to channel and navigate these colors and textures on the saxophone or any other instrument and continue to be surround by the level musicianship and artistry that Kris, Corey and Lance bring to the table, I'm cool with disregarding the naysayers just as fast as they do me.

MaThis whole project was a product of me looking of BeatStars for new sounds. I have been making my own beats for a few years now and I am happy and proud to be able to do that.
But as a lyricist, there is a different energy that comes when you spit on someone else's beat. I can put that energy into writing bars that really link with the beat in a cool way instead of just talking over top of the shit💯💯💯

TexasHollow is a tribute to the house that my grandparents owned when I was a kid. My parents and I used to travel there heavy to spend time and that house just had a magic that made it number one on my favorite places to be.

I am very proud of this release because it marks the turning point where I really began to experiment on my own and develope my own sound
